Pentecost Celebration 2008

Charles Heath Day - 2004

Prayers Needed for the Murphy Family:

Often sickness within family members of our staff is not known among our churches. While the man hours would make it impossible for us to send e-mails, letters, and notification of others who are sick throughout denomination, I do feel it important to seek your prayers and support for PFWB Staff and family members. I am requesting prayer for Jerry and Amy Murphy’s son Adam. Adam is in Chapel Hill with AML Leukemia. His mom, Amy, is a vital part of our office family. Each of our churches have been assisted by Amy at one time or another. Now Amy and Jerry need your prayers and moral support. Our office staff is very concerned over the Murphy family.

In addition to your prayers you may go to www.carepages.com.

To reach Adam through www.carepages.com you would (1)register and (2)type in Adam Murphy’s name and (3)then search. This should put you in contact with him. Adam would enjoy hearing from you.

Also cards and letters may be sent to:

101 Manning Dr.
Chapel Hill, NC 27514

You will need to put on the envelope:

Attention: Anderson Chapel

I want to thank you in advance for your response to Adam.

AZUSA STREET EAST PENTECOST CELEBRATION
A CONTINUING MOVE OF THE SPIRIT

Choir Singing - 5:00 PM
Service - 6:00 PM

Keynote Speaker: Bishop William Wilson

Pentecost Celebration Sunday on May 18, 2008 sponsored jointly by the Assemblies of God, Church of God, Church of God of Prophecy, Pentecostal Free Will Baptist, Pentecostal Holiness, and the United Holy Church was a great success. There were some 1200 people in attendance for the occasion that began with a pre-service hour of various choirs singing followed with a worship service. Bishop Billy Wilson was the guest speaker for the event.

The annual joint celebration for Pentecost will be in May 31, 2009 at the J. A. Culbreth Memorial Auditorium in Falcon, NC. I encourage our pastors and churches to block your calendars for the fifth Sunday in May of next year as we join with other Pentecostal denominations to celebrate one of the cornerstones of our doctrine. We have the Azusa Street East Centennial Celebration jointly with sister denominations: the Church of God, Church of God of Prophecy, Pentecostal Holiness, Assemblies of God, United Holy Church, and the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place... And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting...Acts 2:1-2

Location:
J.A. Culbreth Auditorium

CHARLES HEATH DAY

Pastor Ted Mercer and the Burgaw Holiness Church sponsored a Charles Heath Day on August 15, 2004. Pastor Mercer felt led of the Holy Spirit to sponsor the special occasion that caught the Regional director by total surprise. n attendance. Special recognition was given to Charles and Brenda for the exceptional ministry they have unselfishly given to our churches, ministers and individuals through the years. Only heaven will fully reveal the impact of their ministry to others. Gifts of love from various churches and individuals were presented by Pastor Mercer to the Heaths. Following the exciting and meaningful service, the church provided a beautiful meal in honor of the Heaths and all the guests. My prayer is that God will continue to give servants in His Kingdom such as Charles and Brenda Heath. A special “thank you” to Pastor Mercer and the Burgaw Holiness Church for a gracious act of recognition given to God's Servants.
