Hi everyone. This is the inaugural issue of MISSION: NORTHERN PHILIPPINES.

I have developed this in hopes to share with you what the Lord is doing through the ministry work in the Northern Philippines. I want to “take you there” through the newsletter.

The ministry work there was started in 1971 with our first missionary Winfield Kelly. Through the years, there were two other missionaries that were assigned there - Willard Wagner and Jim Wall.

From the humble beginnings, the church has grown there despite a very large Roman Catholic presence in the Philippines.

Today in the Northern Philippines work, there are about 70 churches and 10 mission churches. The PFWBC- Philippines also has a weekly radio broadcast, Christian school outreaches and also, of course, Harvesters Bible Academy.

Harvesters is the main component in training of men and women who are called into ministry in the PFWBC and is the birth place for ministers, teachers and pastors for the works there.

It is my hope that through this quarterly newsletter, you will have a better understanding of the ministry in the Northern Philippines. I hope that you can connect to God’s work there and that you will pray and be a part of this wonderful ministry.

May the Lord richly bless all that you do.

The Philippines have many active and dormant volcanoes. The last major eruption was Mt. Pinatubo in 1991 - 800 died and over 100,000 people became instantly homeless.

Ever wondered what you might do with your old Sunday School literature after the quarter is completed?
If you are like me, you always hated to throw it away. Why not collect it up and let it become a MISSIONS gift to a less fortunate church in the Philippines?

Do you know many of the churches there do not have any Sunday school literature and would LOVE to have your old material—even if it is outdated and used? If you would like to do this INEXPENSIVE missions project, simply gather up your materials, box them up and mail them to:
