The Baguio church has been meeting in a small room for quite some time now. It has been their prayer to get the church building finished so that they can enjoy worshipping there and begin to further build the body of believers.

Special thanks go out to Western Branch Church and also to Burgaw Holiness PFWB Church for their generous giving that has helped up to this point. The work is not cheap...

The Philippines also is going through a severe financial crisis which has quadrupled construction costs over the last year. This has had an effect on the completion of this project along with the fact that it is located on the side of a mountain some 6500 feet high!

So, to get sand, gravel and cement mix to the work site, it is dumped at the road and then they hire people to carry it SACK BY SACK! They must also hire people to bring off the excess dirt at the site. This makes for a slow process and high construction costs.

Baguio has a huge potential for church growth—especially among college-age people as it has many universities. If you would like to help with this project, please donate online or contact us. They are in need of approx $6000 to bring it to completion.

Top-right: The children perform before service begins. Bottom-Right: Jack and Vivian provided enough funds to build the cement beams and posts. This is the most expensive part of building in the Philippines due to the cost of reinforcement steel. They also have the cinder blocks for the walls. What they need now is the roof system which can be purchased for $2000. If you’d like to help, please donate online contact the World Witness Dept and reference the SAN EMILIO CHURCH.
